Montenegro: Support to the regulation of the financial services

Projektin tavoite:

The overall objective of this action is to support Montenegro’s progress towards full integration into the European Union by enhancing the capacity of its financial sector regulatory and supervisory authorities to further align with the EU acquis, relevant EU standards, and applicable ESCB/Eurosystem standards and institutional requirements.

The specific objective of this action is to strengthen the institutional, regulatory and supervisory capacities of Montenegro’s three financial sector regulatory and supervisory authorities, the Central Bank of Montenegro, the Capital Market Authority and the Insurance Supervision Agency to ensure effective implementation and enforcement of the EU acquis in the areas of banking, insurance and capital markets as well as to design, adopt and implement reforms supporting further alignment with the evolving EU acquis, relevant EU standards and applicable ESCB/Eurosystem requirements.
