New Head of Mission to Geneva

The President of the Republic appointed a new Head of Mission to the Permanent Mission of Finland in Geneva at the presidential session on 29 June.

The President of the Republic appointed Counsellor for Foreign Affairs Heidi Schroderus-Fox to serve as Head of the Permanent Mission of Finland in Geneva starting on 1 October 2023.

Schroderus-Fox is assuming this post following her work at the United Nations headquarters in New York where she served as Director of the Office of the High Representative for Least Developed Countries, Landlocked Developing Countries and Small Island Developing States (UN-OHRLLS). 

Previously, Schroderus-Fox has worked at Finnish missions in Paris, Washington DC, Tel Aviv, Pretoria and New York. In 2010–2011, she served as Head of Policy Issues for the Office of the President of the United Nations General Assembly (OPGA).

Schroderus-Fox joined the Ministry for Foreign Affairs in 1988. She holds a degree of Master of Science in Economics and Business Administration.
