TAIEX instructions

Beneficiary countries usually initiate TAIEX cooperation by sending a request for expertise to the commission. The request can be targeted to a specific EU Member State. Finnish agencies may also initiate cooperation.

The TAIEX programme may fund expert visits that last for up to five days. These include:

  • tailor-made training  provided by Member State experts (expert missions)
  • participation of Member State experts in seminars and workshops in beneficiary countries (workshops)
  • visits by representatives of beneficiary countries to Member States (study visits)
  • peer reviews.

Beneficiary countries make an application online on the Commission’s TAIEX website(Link to another website.) (Opens New Window).

It is possible to organise a seminar or a study visit within a few months after receiving the application.

TAIEX Expert Database

National experts interested in the TAIEX cooperation may register in the TAIEX Expert Database. Registration is not binding, but the Commission may offer expert tasks directly to those in the database.
