Unit for Human Rights Courts And Conventions
The Unit for Human Rights Courts and Conventions is responsible for:
- developing human rights;
- contributing to the work of international organisations related to the Unit’s functions;
- periodic reporting and monitoring connected with the implementation of human rights conventions;
- representing Finland in international judicial and investigative bodies handling human rights complaints, and other legal issues relating to these bodies;
- functions related to overseeing the implementation of the decisions of international judicial and investigative bodies handling human rights complaints;
- international preparation and legislative drafting connected to human rights instruments; and
- providing legal statements, advice and expertise on human rights issues.
