National Security Authority
The National Security Authority operates under the administration of the Secretary of State. The NSA is responsible for:
- supervising and monitoring that international classified information shall be protected and handled accordingly
- in the entire central government
- in companies and agencies which handle data that is classified international
- coordinating the activities of the Designated Security Authorities (DSAs) and the National Communications Security Authority (NCSA)
- representing Finland in international conferences on information security
- negotiating bilateral and multilateral information security agreements
- issuing Personnel Security Clearance Certificates (PSC Certificate) for international cooperation
