Unit for Security Policy and Crisis Management
The Unit for Security Policy and Crisis Management is responsible for matters relating to:
- general security policy and security in Finland’s neighbouring areas, the Baltic Sea and the Arctic
- EU Common Security and Defence Policy (CSDP)
- military and civilian crisis management, including Finland’s participation in UN peacekeeping operations
- the North Atlantic Alliance and NATO Membership
- the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe, including OSCE election observation and arms control
- technology and security as well as cyber security and hybrid questions and
- recruitment of experts for positions in the Unit.
