Venue

ATCM XLV and CEP XXV will be held at Scandic Congress Center Marina, located at Katajanokanlaituri 6, 00160 Helsinki.

Marina Congress Center and the adjacent Grand Marina Hotel offer modern congress facilities, restaurants, bars and accommodation. Marina Congress Center is located by the sea, just a five minute walk from the Senate Square and the Market Square in the heart of Helsinki.

How to get to the meeting venue

From Helsinki-Vantaa Airport:

Helsinki-Vantaa Airport is located in Vantaa, about 20 km from the meeting venue, Scandic Marina Congress Center. There are several options to get to the city from the airport either by train, bus or taxi. More detailed information on the airport can be found at Finavias's website(Link to another website.) Taxi:

Taxi station are located outside both terminals 1 and 2. A taxi from Helsinki-Vantaa airport to the city and the congress center should cost between 45 and 70 euros (40 to 65 USD). You can pay by cash in euros. All taxis accept all major credit cards.

Public transport:

From the airport, take train I or P to Central Railway Station. The Helsinki Railway Station is located in the city center, approximately 1,5 kilometers from Scandic Grand Marina hotel and congress center. To get to Marina Congress Center and hotel, take tram 4 or 5 towards Katajanokanlaituri from Aleksanterinkatu. NB! Tickets are not sold in trams and trains. At the railway station you can buy a ticket (zones ABC) from a ticket machine for 4,6 euros or you can buy the ticket through the HSL mobile app. The ticket is valid for 80 minutes. When using trams, you can buy a ticket from a ticket machine or by downloading the Helsinki Public Transport (HSL) app.

Getting around the city

Public transportation in Helsinki is safe and easy to use. The Scandic Grand Marina Hotel and Marina Congress Center are situated in the city area called Katajanokka. It is a few hundred meters from the heart of the city center. The easiest means of transportation is the tram. The closest tram stop is located 100 meters from the hotel. The cost of a single public transport ticket for Helsinki (zone AB) is 2,8 €. Tickets can only be bought from a ticket machine or through the Helsinki public transport, HSL, mobile app.

All taxis are metered and accept all major credit cards. Maps and additional information can always be obtained at hotels. Taxis can be ordered by phone, from taxi stands or hailed from the street. Taxi stands are located throughout the city center. Credit cards are accepted in all taxis. Taxi drivers usually speak English.
