Coronavirus advice for travellers: Ministry for Foreign Affairs monitors coronavirus situation
The Ministry for Foreign Affairs and Finland’s Missions in China are monitoring the impacts of the coronavirus (COVID-19) epidemic in cooperation with the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare (THL), and they are in constant contact with key actors with regard to the situational picture and any necessary measures.
Note that the Ministry for Foreign Affairs updates its travel advice bulleting as required, which is why you should check the most recent advice on the Ministry’s website. If you are staying abroad or planning to travel abroad, we recommend that you submit your travel details at matkustusilmoitus.fi.
In the event of a crisis or emergency abroad, the Foreign Ministry can then reach you to provide advice or assistance.
The Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare (THL) is the source for the latest information on the occurrence of the disease and guidelines for the prevention of infections. The Institute cooperates with the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO).
