The president of the republic appointed on Thursday, 14 March, Hannu Mäntyvaara the head of mission in Kairo, Egypt, w.e.f. 1 August, 2002; Anna-Maija Korpi the head of mission in Beograd, Yugoslavia, w.e.f. 1 August, 2002; Kimmo Pulkkinen the head of mission in Lima, Peru, w.e.f. 1 September, 2002; and Jorma Paukku the head of mission in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, w.e.f. 1 May, 2002.
