Business Services Unit

The unit provides business services and develops and manages the Foreign Service’s suite of business services, which includes both the services of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs in Finland and the services of Finnish diplomatic and consular missions abroad. The unit also guides the Foreign Ministry’s sector-specific trade promotion making use of business ecosystems.

The Business Services Unit is responsible for:

• the Foreign Service’s business services, including service development and coordination, customer advice and support for the network of missions;
• the development and coordination of the Foreign Service’s industry-specific expertise, and participation in national and international cooperation in various sectors;  
• market‑driven trade promotion, including its guidance and implementation, making use of business ecosystem operations and offerings and, where applicable, International Business Innovations.
