Exhibitors

The exhibition stands provide an opportunity to get acquainted with a variety of organizations. Those interested in international assignments can speak with people who have served in the field and gain practical information about application processes. The exhibitors can be found in the Agora Hall of the University of Helsinki’s Main Building between 9:00 and 16:00.

CMI - Martti Ahtisaari Peace Foundation

CMI – Martti Ahtisaari Peace Foundation is an independent foundation that works to prevent and resolve conflicts through dialogue and mediation.

Crisis Management Centre Finland (CMC Finland)

CMC Finland is a governmental institution and a centre of expertise in civilian crisis management promoting peace, democracy and a strong rule of law.

Customs

Finnish Customs is a security authority that monitors cross-border traffic and enables smooth international traffic for those who operate in compliance with regulations.

Finnish Border Guard

The Finnish Border Guard is a militarily organised law enforcement authority under the Ministry of the Interior, with tasks including border security, maritime safety and national defence.

Finnish Defence Forces

The Finnish Defence Forces are the military organization of Finland, consisting of the Finnish Army, Navy and Air Force. In wartime, the Finnish Border Guard forms part of the Finnish Defence Forces. 

Finnish Red Cross

The Finnish Red Cross is one of the largest humanitarian organizations in Finland. The Red Cross helps people in vulnerable situations amidst crises and accidents, both in Finland and abroad.

Finnish Veterans’ Federation For International Operations

The Finnish Veterans’ Association for International Operations is an independent and voluntary veterans’, heritage and national defence organisation. It consists of registered member associations whose members are Finnish citizens who have served, or are currently serving, in military peacekeeping, crisis management and other international operations deployed by the Finnish state, as well as in civilian crisis management or rescue operations.

Finnish Women Peace and Security Network & UN Women Finland

The Finnish Women, Peace and Security Network is a cooperation network of 30 civil society organizations as well as researchers, experts, and other individual members. Its aim is to promote the implementation of UN Security Council Resolution 1325. The network is administered and coordinated by UN Women Finland with the support of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland.

Ministry of Defence of Finland

The Ministry of Defence is responsible for national defence policy, coordination of comprehensive defence and international defence cooperation, including crisis management. Representatives of the Ministry of Defence are available at the Finnish Defence Forces’ stand during the event.

Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland

The Ministry for Foreign Affairs promotes the security and welfare of Finland and the Finns, and works for a secure and fair world.

Police

Is responsible for maintaining order, investigating crime and ensuring general security. They collaborate to promote security and crime prevention.

Rule of Law Centre

The Rule of Law Centre at the University of Helsinki carries out rule of law projects in developing countries. It brings together a broad selection of experts from various areas of Finnish society, including rule of law experts, teachers, researchers and students who are interested in contributing to the support provided to international partners to strengthen the rule of law.

Savonia University of Applied Sciences

Savonia University of Applied Sciences promotes practical solutions and the competitiveness of society in the spirit of sustainable growth. Together with the business community, Savonia researches current themes and develops new expertise.

Youth, Peace and Security Network of Finland

Youth, Peace and Security Network of Finland is a collaboration platform for young people and organizations that want to promote the Youth, Peace and Security agenda.

 

Wounded Finnish Peacekeepers Association

Wounded Finnish Peacekeepers Association is an advocacy organization for Finnish military and civilian peacekeepers and crisis management veterans who have been disabled in service. The association also serves as an expert on the lived experiences of wounded veterans, providing insight to its members as well as to government and decision‑makers.
