France expands export controls in quantum and semiconductor sectors

France has introduced new restrictions to control exports to third countries.

It has imposed restrictions on technology related to quantum computers and on advanced electronic components, such as semiconductors. The export of these products from France to non-EU countries will be subject to authorisation as of 1 March 2024.
