Austrian Foreign Minister Beate Meinl-Reisinger to visit Finland

Austrian Federal Minister for European and International Affairs, Beate Meinl-Reisinger, will visit Finland on 18–20 August and meet Minister for Foreign Affairs Elina Valtonen.

Austrian Federal Minister for European and International Affairs, Beate Meinl-Reisinger, will meet Minister for Foreign Affairs Elina Valtonen on Wednesday 19 August. The foreign ministers will discuss the bilateral relations between Finland and Austria as well as current foreign and security policy matters, including Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine, European security, topical EU issues, transatlantic relations, the situation in the Middle East, and China.

“The good relations between Finland and Austria provide a strong basis for deepening our cooperation also in the future. We both view close European cooperation as a key means of addressing common challenges,” says Minister for Foreign Affairs Valtonen.

While in Finland, Minister Meinl-Reisinger will also visit for example the European Centre of Excellence for Countering Hybrid Threats.
