Team Finland Business Mission to Brazil

The Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland invites Finnish companies to join a Team Finland Business Mission to Brazil (25-30 October) focused on Circular Mining and Digital and Data solutions for Mining and Minerals processing.

This delegation offers a unique opportunity to engage directly with leading Brazilian and international mining companies in Brazil, gain insight into upcoming investment projects, and showcase Finnish expertise in sustainable and efficient mining technologies.

Why Brazil?

Brazil continues to be one of the world's most important mining markets and is entering a new investment cycle. According to the Brazilian Mining Association, mining investments in Brazil are expected to reach approximately USD 76 billion during 2026-2029.

While iron ore projects will account for a significant share of planned investments, major opportunities are also emerging in critical minerals, including copper, nickel, and rare earth elements. At the same time, mining companies are increasing their focus on efficiency , security and sustainability, creating strong demand for innovative digital, data and circular mining solutions.

Programme Highlights

Participants will have the opportunity to meet executives and decision-makers from leading Brazilian and international mining companies with significant investment plans and CAPEX projects under development.

The delegation programme will take place in:

• Belo Horizonte (25-29 October 2026), the mining capital of Brazil
• São Paulo (30 October 2026)

The programme will include:

• Company and executive-level meetings
• Presentations on major mining investments and upcoming projects
• Networking opportunities with key industry stakeholders
• Discussions on potential business partnerships

The business mission will be led by Ambassador Antti Kaski in Belo Horizonte and Consul Anna Yletyinen in São Paulo.

Participation Fee

To cover the expenses related to arranging the visit to Brazil, a participation fee of EUR 300 per person, plus EUR 20 management fee will be invoiced.

The participation fee will be invoiced after the visit, based on actual costs. The invoiced amount will not exceed the maximum fees stated above. The participation fee does not include flights, accommodation, or meals outside the official visit program.
