WTO Public Forum 2026 highlights the role of services as a driver of world trade
The WTO Public Forum, held in Geneva on 15–17 September, brings together more than 2,000 experts to discuss the role of international trade in promoting sustainable growth and prosperity. In the forum, Finland is organising a side event on the importance of services for sustainable mining, together with the Democratic Republic of the Congo and the Enhanced Integrated Framework (EIF) partnership programme.

The EU-Tanzania Business Roadshow event, which will be held in Finland on 28 September, is part of a series of business events connecting European and Tanzanian businesses, investors and institutions.
Updated online course enhances knowledge of sanctions
Effective enforcement of sanctions requires up-to-date knowledge and an understanding of sanctions and how they are applied. The Ministry for Foreign Affairs has updated the content of the Introduction to Sanctions online course, which is open to everyone. The online course is now also available in Swedish.
Confederation of Finnish Industries recognises ambassadors with award
The Confederation of Finnish Industries (EK) has recognised the Finnish Ambassador to Norway, Teemu Tanner, and Team Finland Mercosur for their outstanding work to promote Finnish exports. In addition, an honourable mention was given to the financing programme SISU implemented by Finnvera and the Ministry for Foreign Affairs.
