Foreign Minister Valtonen to attend foreign ministers’ meeting in Latvia

Finland’s Minister for Foreign Affairs Elina Valtonen will attend a meeting of like-minded countries convened by Latvian Minister of Foreign Affairs Baiba Braže in Riga, Latvia, on 9 September.

The foreign ministers of Ireland, Croatia and Poland will also attend the meeting. Items on the agenda will include the various aspects of EU enlargement, the hybrid threat Russia poses to Europe and the situation in the Middle East and its impact on Europe.

Minister Elina Valtonen will also be among the key speakers at the high-level Business Forum, to be held in connection with The Riga Conference on foreign and security policy.
