Minister Adlercreutz to attend meeting of ministers for Nordic cooperation

Minister Anders Adlercreutz, who is responsible for Nordic cooperation, will attend a meeting of the ministers for Nordic cooperation in Copenhagen on 1 October.

Discussions at the meeting will focus on the competitiveness of the Nordic countries. As part of the presidency of Denmark and the Faroe Islands, the Nordic Council of Ministers has prepared a report on Nordic competitiveness, which will be discussed by the ministers for Nordic cooperation and the Nordic ministers of economic affairs. The ministers will issue a joint declaration on this topic in connection with the meeting.

“Together, the Nordic countries are a strong economic force, even on a global scale. Amid growing international competition, a competitive Nordic region is essential for Finland’s economy and societal wellbeing. That is why we must work together to find solutions to future challenges,” says Minister Adlercreutz.

Other topics on the meeting agenda include the Nordic Council of Ministers' budget and the modernisation of its activities.
