European Commission publishes compilation of national export control lists
Under the EU Dual-Use Regulation, EU Member States may include items on national export control lists, for example, for public security reasons or because of human rights considerations. National lists complement EU export controls and concern specifically export from the Member State in question.
Member States may impose licensing requirements for the export of dual-use items included in other Member States’ national control lists. The competent authority, which in Finland is the Export Control Unit of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs, then informs the exporter of the necessity to apply for an export license.
The European Commission issues regularly a compilation of the national export control lists. Read the most recent compilation on the European Union’s website.
