Antti Koistinen appointed as Ambassador of Finland to Jakarta

Koistinen Antti The President of the Republic appointed on 27 July Counsellor for Foreign Affairs Antti Koistinen as Head of the Finnish Embassy in Jakarta, Indonesia, as of 1 October 2007.

Koistinen is currently serving as Roving Ambassador to Afghanistan. He joined the Ministry in 1971 and has been posted to the Finnish missions in Moscow, New Delhi and Rabat. From 1991 to 1996, he was Roving Ambassador to Central Asian republics, and served as the Finnish Ambassador to Tehran, Iran, from 1996 to 2001. At the Ministry, Koistinen has held positions in the Department for External Economic Relations and the Political Department.
