Markku Niinioja to be Finland´s Ambassador in Indonesia

The President of the Republic has appointed Counsellor Markku Niinioja to Finland´s Ambassador in Jakarta from July 1. Niinioja entered the Ministry for Foreign Affairs in 1970 and he has served at the embassies Beijing, Rome, Lusaka, Athens and Oslo. In the Ministry he has worked in a variety of positions, amongst others as co-ordinator for peacekeeping affairs. From 1998 until this spring he has been Ambassador in Kuwait, Bahrain and Qatar.
