Foreign Ministers of Finland, Germany and France to visit the Philippines
The Jolo hostage crisis in the Philippines has now continued for more than ten weeks. The situation has been lately aggravated by more abductions including French and German citizens.
The Foreign Ministers of Finland, France and Germany have decided to visit the Philippines on 13-14 July in order to express their concern for their citizens and for the humanly intolerable situation of the hostages. The Foreign Ministers Erkki Tuomioja, Hubert Védrine and Joschka Fischer will appeal to the Philippine authorities for the safe and immidiate release of all the hostages.
