Presidential elections: analysis of second round

Some analysts may have described the outcome of the second round of Finland’s presidential elections as predictable and unsurprising, but the number of votes cast abroad nonetheless reached record levels. The Ministry for Foreign Affairs organized various events to keep foreign media up to speed on how the elections unfolded.

Comments and background on the results were given by former Editor-in-Chief of the Helsingin Sanomat Janne Virkkunen and Director of Research at the Åbo Akademi University Kimmo Grönlund.

The language of the event was English.
