The project targets 90 women who candidate in the municipality and village councils regardless they succeeded or not. Four main activities will be implemented under the framework of the project. The first one is to conduct training courses about the vision of political parties, the civil society, human rights, lobbying and advocacy and media. The second activity is to give the women who submitted to the training courses the chance to train and addressee other women from their villages and municipality councils. The third one is to raise up the voice of women in Palestine and encourage her to take an action by organizing an advocacy campaign related to the political situation in Palestine. And the fourth activity is recording television episodes and radio spots, so as to become more involved with the others in their Community, and to expand the circle of awareness and the knowledge base, throughout. Women candidates will play the main role in this project. They will be like pressure teams; they will organize lobbying campaigns to raise the women awareness regarding the electoral law, importance of democracy and educate them on the qualifications and characteristics that the ideal candidate should posses. Through this project the targeted women will also be motivated to increase their participation in policy making on local level through participating in the local council's electoral process. We hope that this project will eventually contribute to a social change in the targeted districts were the candidates are elected because of their performance not on tribe basis.
