Leadership Training of Namibian Teachers' Union (NANTU) at Regional and Local Level


The main goals are to promote the rights of the civil society, democratic desionmaking processes and social dialogue between the civil society,unions and education leaders and the education administration.The aim is to strenghen the role of civil society in education and development of education. One of main goals is to reinforce the role of the civil society, the teacher union at regional and local level.The project also promotes teachers´commitment to the ethical codes of teachers. Leadership training programs also strenghen union´s capacity on the local level and in schools and prepare union leaders to safeguard the intrests of teachers and education also at local level. The project gives the tools to work in better co-operation with education leaders and administration.The main activities are training programs, investment in human capital. The project is part of the education policy and influences the quality of education.
