Finland’s official representative to Western Africa is Roving Ambassador Seija Toro. She is based in Helsinki and visits the countries of the district assigned to the post a few times a year.

The roving ambassadors are responsible for maintaining and promoting the political, commercial and cultural relations between Finland and these countries. They present Finland’s positions to decision makers and communicate information about the region to Finland. They also try to help Finnish companies in accessing the markets of the countries of the region.
