Minister Virolainen to lead Team Finland visit to Mexico

Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Anne-Mari Virolainen will make a Team Finland visit to Mexico on 14–15 February. The Minister will be accompanied by a Team Finland delegation.

"Trade between Finland and Mexico has increased in recent years and there is good potential for expanding the trade. Mexico is carrying out reforms in for example the energy, digitalisation and cyber security sectors, where Finnish companies have world-class expertise," Minister Anne-Mari Virolainen says.

"Finnish companies offer smart energy solutions, various solutions related to clean environment, and high-quality know-how in cyber security matters, for instance. I will present our strengths to ministers and representatives of the administration in Mexico," Minister Virolainen says.

While in Mexico, Minister Virolainen will meet ministers and representatives of the central administration and of Mexico City. During the visit, she will sign an Air Services Agreement between Finland and Mexico, which will enable the development of aviation relations and aviation markets. 

Minister Virolainen's export promotion visit is organised in cooperation with Business Finland.
