It focuses particularly on supporting the realisation of the rights of women and girls; as well as building and strengthening of the core functions of the Somali state. The document is based on the priorities identified in the Somalia's National Development Plan. The purpose of the Somalia planning funds is to improve the quality of the Finnish development cooperation in Somalia. Planning funds will be used for planning, preparation, monitoring, evaluation and auditing the Finnish development and statebuilding support in Somalia, as well as to promote results-based management.
