Description
Voluntary core contribution to UN Women, the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women. UN Women was founded in July 2010 and launched in early 2011 by combing four existing UN entities (UNIFEM, DAW; INSTRAW and OSAGI). UN Women promotes gender equality and the empowerment of women by normative and operational country-level action. UN Women is also responsible for UN system-wide coordination of gender equality.
