Support to SIWI for strengthtening the Women in Water Diplomacy Network

The Stockholm International Water Institute's (SIWI) project aims to support the visibility and networking of female water diplomats. The cooperation focuses Central Asia and Afghanistan, as well as the Nile region of Africa. For Finland, the project provides visibility and opportunities to create networks for current and future women peace mediators and water diplomacy experts. Finland has collaborated with SIWI for a long time as part of the concept of water diplomacy. SIWI is seeking funding for the geographical expansion of its program in accordance with its strategy adopted in 2022. The EUR 80,000 grant will support the participation of network members in the Global Network meeting in Africa.
