Development cooperation

Project planning and evaluation

Description

Finland's bilateral development cooperation in Eastern Europe and Central Asia is implemented mostly in Ukraine, Kyrgyz Republic, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. In Central Asia projects carried out by UN organizations and inter-institutional projects are being financed. Ukraine is supported for example through the Council of Europe, the EBRD and the World Bank. Development co-operation planning and monitoring appropriations are used for project preparation, monitoring and appraisal activities. During the 2020/2021, new funding decisions will be made for program projects and in this phase the appropriatons are ment to cover possible appraisal costs.
