Quality Basic Education Pathways for Children in Myanmar

Description

Finland is supporting UNICEF’s learning programme during 2022-2025. In the Learning Programme the funding is channeled through NGOs and CSOs at the community level. Goal is to provide safe learning environment for children in the middle of the crisis in Myanmar. Continuation of education will also support psychosocial wellbeing of children and their families. All children despite their ethnical, linguistic or religious background are welcomed to the learning centers and community libraries, which are located in the villages. The goal is to provide learning possibilities for children between 3-18 years old. Learning means for example reading classes conducted by volunteer teachers. UNICEF is targeting children in the most vulnerable position, in practice meaning girls, children from ethnic minorities and children with disabilities.
