Bangladesh, UNHCR: humanitarian aid
Description
The stateless rohingya fleeing violence in Myanmar have become one of the fastest growing refugee crises in the world. Cox's Bazar in neighboring Bangladesh hosts currently the world's largest refugee settlement with more than 909,000 refugees. Humanitarian needs remain significant in the overcrowded camps. The monsune season, landslides and possible tropical cyclones bring additional challenges to their protection. The UNHCR delivers emergency aid to the refugees and advocates for their voluntary repatriation. The ministry proposes 1 million euros to the UNHCR operation in Bangladesh.
