The worst humanitarian crisis in the world continues in Yemen. In 2019, approximately 22-24 million people will need humanitarian aid. A third of the population is on the brink of famine, and 18 million suffer from malnutrition. The situation is worsened by obstacles in humanitarian access. The UNHCR assists more than 3 million people, of whom 2.2 million are internally displaced persons and 282,000 refugees mainly from Somalia.
