The implementation of development policy and cooperation in Vietnam has been delegated to the country level to the Embassy of Finland in Hanoi. This includes for example identification, planning and monitoring of the development cooperation projects. This also entails the implementation of the development policy programme of Finland as part of the implementation of the transition strategy on Cooperation between Finland and Vietnam 2016–2020 and the post transition strategy which is in the planning process and will be published in 2022. The objectives of the use of the funds are to promote supervision and monitoring of development cooperation projects, strengthen results-based management and human rights based approach in the implementation of development cooperation in Vietnam, organize visits to Finland related to the development policy programme and the transition strategy and strengthen the capacities of the development cooperation team in the Embassy.
