Promotion of COVID-19 vaccine uptake in Tanzania
Description
UNICEF’s intervention ”Promotion of COVID-19 vaccine uptake in Tanzania” will support Tanzania to reduce both morbidity and mortality from COVID-19. The intervention will support Tanzania's Ministry of Health, Community Development, Gender, Elderly and Children's and UNICEF's information campaign that aims to increase public awareness and acceptance of COVID-19 vaccines. The project has three objectives: 1) To increase the demand for COVID-19 vaccines, 2) To support capacity building among community health workers and 3) To improve availability of oxygen supply through procurement and distribution of oxygen concentrators and consumables. Finland's support for the Promotion of COVID-19 vaccine uptake in Tanzania -project is 3,5 million Euros for the years 2021-2022.
