Complex Risk Analysis Fund

The Complex Risks Analytics Fund (CRAF'd) is a new multi-partner trust fund, governed by Multi-Partner Trust Fund Office (MPTF-O) under UNDP, aimed to support a data ecosystem that expands capabilities for using data with greater insight, impact, and integrity: to anticipate, prevent, and respond to complex risks in fragile and crisis affected settings across the humanitarian development peace nexus. Currently, data and analytics capabilities to support engagement in fragile settings are sub-optimal. There is a lack of reliable data and expertise, and the projects and data systems are often fragmented, facing an uncertain funding. As a multi-partner trust fund, CRAF'd aims to secure a stable funding for a scalable and sustainable data ecosystem with common standards to benefit a diverse set of actors. Hence, it aims to benefit among others development work, humanitarian aid, crisis management, and peacebuilding, direct beneficiaries being the people in fragile, crisis and conflict affected settings. The Fund will be officially launched in October 2021.
