Support to the education sector in Somalia

Description

Finland supports the education sector in Somalia through Education and Learning programme component of the UNICEF's Country Programme for Somalia (2021-2025).The Outcome of the Education Programme is to ensure that more children, especially girls from the most disadvantaged communities and those affected by crises and conflict, access quality pre-primary and basic education with improved learning outcomes. The Education Programme is in line with the first Impact Area of Finland’s Country Programme for Somalia 2021-2024: Improved confidence in the state and increased social cohesion for a renewed social contract through state-building, reconciliation and service delivery in health- and education sectors. Finland supports UNICEF's Education Programme in Somalia with 7,65 million Euros during the years 2021-2024.
