The Rohingya crisis continues and conditions in the refugee camps of Bangladesh has deteriorated during the COVID-19 pandemic. Nearly million people are in need of humanitarian assistance. Sexual violence against the refugees is wide spread. Fast and safe return to Myanmar of the refugees is unlikely to take place in the near future. UNHCR provides lifesaving assistance and protection to the Rohingya refugees together with actor humanitarian actors and governments of the region Finland announced a contribution of 2 million euros through UNHCR in theSustaining Support for the Rohingya Refugee Conference (22 October 2020). .
