Humanitarian situation in Yemen is critical due to the escalation of the conflict. There is a growing number of IDP's and more refugees are fleeing to Djibouti and Somalia. Humanitarian need were huge before the escalation of conflict and about 16 million people were in the need of humanitarian assistance. ICRC demands the different parties of conflict to comply with the International Humanitarian Law. It provides first aid, non-food items, food assistance and access to clean water. ICRC traces missing persons and restores family links and visits and observes detainees' condition. Finnish Red Cross supports the operation with a cash contribution and reserves a possibility of sending aid workers to the operation.
