ECDPM is an independent 'think and do' tank established in 1986. It has offices in Maastrichtissa and Brussels. ECPDM is regarded for its neutral and high quality research. During 2017-2021 ECDPM will concentrate traditionally on EU-ACP relations with focus in Africa as well as on the implementation of the Agenda2030 for sustainable development. ECDPM produces studies, events and trainings. The Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland has cooperated with ECDPM since 1998. Finland has granted for year 2018 a core funding of 155.000 euros. In addition, an amount of 20.000 euros has been reserved for specific services. The cooperation supports widely the defining of Finnish positions related to EU development policy and EU advocacy. The cooperation supports indirectly the development policy priorities on poverty reduction, economically and socially sustainable development and good governance within EU institutions relevant for EU development policy as well as EU Delegations.
