Continued support to the Global Donor Platform for Rural Development

Description

Global Donor Platform for Rural Development (GDPRD) is a network of 40 bilateral and multilateral donors, international financing institutions, international organizations and research centers. The network aims to increase aid effectiviness and harmonization in the agriculture, rural development and food security sector. The beneficiaries of the program are the members of the network and through them the target groups of their rural development programs. Finland has been a member of the GDPRD board since the begiining of 2012 and has been co-chair of the network between January 2014 and March 2016. It is proposed to support the GDPRD with 150.000 Eur, which provides for Finland a full membership and a place in the board for years 2020-22.
