Humanitarian aid; Plan International Finland 2018 operations
Description
Plan International Finland has two MFA funded operations in 2018. In Ethiopia, the goal is to facilitate the treatment of both severe and moderate acute malnutrition in four woredas that suffer from renewed drought and decrease the mortality and morbidity due to malnutrition and support local child protection committees to track and identify children separated from their families due to the drought and eventually reunify them with their families. In Nigeria, the operation will target conflict-affected early learning aged children (aged 3-6) to benefit from early childhood development (ECD) in four local government areas in Borno state. The main goal is to improve the readiness for school and psychosocial support available to 700 early learners and to improve the capacity of ECD caregivers to provide age-appropriate and quality the services in the ECD centers. MFA funding for these operations is 1 000 000 euros in 2018.
