UNU-WIDER tax research Towards more efficient and equitable tax systems
Description
The UNU-WIDER tax research aims at building and developing data bases on taxation in Uganda, Ethiopia and Zambia as well as performing and developing microsimulations on tax and social transfers so that would benefit especially women and poor people. The research strengthens also the capacity and cooperation of local researchers and policy-makers as well as South-South learning and cooperation. As outcome, the research produces information on better policy choices for decision-makers. The funding is 310 000 euros for 2018-19.
