International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent societies IFRC and Finnish Red Cross FRC humanitarian operations 2020

Description

Ministry for Foreign Affairs will provide 1 200 000 euros for the Finnish Red Cross (FRC) for supporting the operation of the International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) in Syria. The IFRC, together with the Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC) are targeting 310 000 people to receive support in access to healthcare in different parts of the country through clinics (9), emergency health points (7), mental health clinics (7) and 11 mobile health units. These activities and the outreach and community -based health and first aid (CBHFA) reaches women, men and children with free services. The funding will be used to support health activities specifically. The FRC will support the operation with funds, and a health coordinator from its delegate reserve.
