Support to the socially marginalised communities in the Southern Afric
Description
African sovieties are challenged by serious problems i.e. shortage of food, health, unemployment, hiv/aids, ecological issues, instability, urbanuzation, violence and xenophobia. Activities are implemented through churches, whose role in African societies is central. They however lack competence and capacity to respond to these needs. The aim of this programme is to increase the capacities of the local partner organisations, LUCSA member churches to become competent in responding to the challenges. Target groups are the marginalised and most vulnerable members of the communities. Regional approach is needed because problems do not respect national borders. Networking, awareness building and training, promotion of innovative approaches in social work and and advocacy work are the main aims of the project.
