Demo Finland, Political Parties of Finland for Democracy, program 2013-2015

Demo Finland is an ideologically, party-politically and religiously neutral organisation that arranges collaboration between officially registered Finnish parliamentary parties. Demo Finland works to promote pluralistic democracy by implementing co-operation projects involving Finnish parties and political movements in developing countries. Demo Finland’s activities are based on the fundamental importance of democracy for development, and the significance of well-functioning and responsible parties for democracy. Demo Finland supports the goals of Finland’s official development policies by getting actors from political parties involved. Political parties can play a key role in supporting true democracies. Demo Finland brings added value to Finnish democracy support around the world by channeling expertise and contributing through our own work in this increasingly vital aspect of development.
