INT/UN Desertification Convention; Finland's assessed contribution
Description
The UN Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD) is known as one of the ‘Rio Conventions’ along with the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and the Convention on Biological Diversity. It is a legally binding international agreement that combines sustainable land use with environmental and development issues. Conference of the Parties (COP) meets every two years and decides the contributions from the Parties to the core budget of the Convention.
