Enchancing the African Unioin's Mediation Capacity, phase II

The African Union’s Conflict Management Division (AU CMD) and the African Centre for the Constructive Resolution of Disputes (ACCORD) ) with the support of Crisis Management Initiative (CMI) will undertake a joint project aimed at building the mediation capacity of the African Union through evidenced-based self-reflection, the development of an AU mediation strategy and capacity building programming. The partners will study various African mediation case studies, identify lessons learned and best practises, generate strategic and operational recommendations, develop guidelines and procedures, develop mediation support mechanisms, conduct training courses and support fact-finding, mediation, and post-conflict field missions.
