Humanitarian assistance; UNHCR; Yemen
In Yemen, about 80 % of the population is in need of humanitarian aid, in total 18,8 million people. Conflict has displaced 2 million persons within the country and has forced 188 327 persons to flee into neighbouring countries. At the same time, 280 623 refugees have arrived in Jemen mainly from the Horn of Africa. The humanitarian crisis has been exacerbated conflict-induced famine and malnutrition. The UNHCR's response (114.6 MUSD) covers protection and assistance to refugees, IDPs and returnees.
