MYA/Support to the Myanmar Census

Finland supports UNFPA's census project in Myanmar. A population census is the total process of collecting, compiling, evaluating, and analyzing as well as publishing and disseminating demographic, economic and social data pertaining, at a specified time, to all persons in a country. The planning and management stage of the census has already started; it is expected that the process will be finalized by the end of 2016. The census enumeration will take place during the period 30 March to 10 April 2014. Provisional results are expected to be ready by July 2014 and the definitive results released in January 2015.
